I started my life coaching business in 2006 after twelve years as a
Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in adolescent and adult
therapy. My interest lies in helping parents feel confident and
effective through parenting education and coaching.
I adhere to the principles of the Positive Discipline approach to parenting, which advocates methods which help children become responsible, capable and self-confident adults.
I am especially interested in working with parents of very young children and addressing adjustment issues we all face as new parents. Another interest area involves helping parents of adolescents build more satisfying relationships with their teens. I am currently working on developing a parenting education curriculum in southern West Virginia.
