I love technology. That is not to say I understand it, but I do love it when it works right. I can find a replacement for my favorite pair of walking shoes, look up when the movie starts down the street right on my lap top in my living room and help a young one with homework. Of course I have enjoyed shopping in a store, looking in the newspaper for movie times and the World Book Encyclopedia was a homework buddy in my day, but those things are all becoming history. Here is fun article to share with your kids. You can look smart
as you read this list and tell them 'how it was'. WIRED Magazine just posted a list of things your kids may never know about. The author calls himself Geek Dad. The pictures are great too. Who would have guessed VCR's would become old fashion and out dated in such a short time. I was laughing out loud as I read it. I guess I am ancient history! You can have fun telling your kids a story about the way it 'used to be'. Everyone loves a good story in the summer..... You can even ask them what they think they may be telling their kids about someday!
Enjoy the summer daze...
